About Eastside Water Association
Serving the Community Since 1968
The Eastside Water Association began in 1968 and was later incorporated with one hundred and twenty-one members. Since that time, the association has worked closely with Supervisor George S. Smith to partner with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Development Office and the Mississippi Department of Health Criteria. The partnership has led to the construction for an elevated water tank for the area residents and businesses near Wynndale Road in Terry, Mississippi. With two grants and two loans, totaling a little more than $370,000, the Eastside Water Association has been able to contract a water improvement project that benefit more than three hundred and twenty-five families. Every element of the water system has been designed in accordance with all regulations. In addition, the contracted improvements to the current water system have been added to future capacity for its present members.
